Gwangneung Bulgogi Restaurant with Garden and K-Culture

Gwangneung Bulgogi Restaurant like a relaxing place

 I found a nice Korean restaurant with a garden while walking on the road with the stream flowing sideways. The name is 광릉 불고기 Gwangneung Bulgogi. This is a franchise restaurant, and the first restaurant is located in Gwangneung, Namyangju city. There was no signboard or restaurant name. That's why this place also had the word "간판 없는 식당 a restaurant without a sign" written on the signboard. It is a memory of historical facts from the past. Remember, You have to take off your shoes to enter this restaurant.

There menu for 1 serving is limited

But I was disappointed to hear the waitress say that you cannot order pork and beef because you are alone. She said it's a menu for more than two, not a menu for one. I asked what the menu for one person was, and she said spicy galbijjim, yukgaejang and naengmyeon. I was offended and wanted to go to another restaurant, but it was hot outside, so I decided to just eat here today.

It looked like a warehouse. The color of the light is ivory. Autographs of celebrities were hung on the wall of the cash register. But there were no celebrities I knew. And next to the checkout counter, confectionery products that seem to be local specialties were on display. there was also an old stove for use in the coming winter. You can refill the side dishes as much as you can eat.

And a bowl of spicy galbijjim and a bowl of rice were also served. When I ordered, I asked the waitress to make it a little less spicy, but she said no. It's because the chef cooks enough for several people in a large pot, she said. This part was a disappointment. If you're not used to spicy Korean food, this food could be the worst. However, if you are a Konglish man like me who has adapted to the spicy taste of Korea, this dish will be remembered as delicious.

Dessert drinks are free

Most Korean restaurants provide free dessert. The free dessert at this restaurant is plum tea. Plum tea helps digestion. I am happy to be able to drink plum tea. The yellow hopper on the right is the cup trash can.

There was a large parking lot, a playground for children, a smoking room and a garden overlooking the elementary school, and there was a Jangdokdae. Jangdokdae contains traditional Korean sauces such as gochujang and soybean paste. I tasted the delicious food of this restaurant and experienced various sights and cultures.
