A scene from Korean movie Friends
<K Movie - Friend 2001>

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Most Koreans will have experience saying this to other people, You wanna die? or I'll kill you etc. It is used in two situation and in different moods.

For example, if A and B are friendly and have a good relationship, there is a high probability that they will not be offended by each other and will not take it seriously whether A says that to B or B says that to A. So, people who are very close friends exchange these words with each other like a joke. It may sound funny, but if you use this word between lovers, it can even develop into a more sticky relationship.

But when people who don't know each other use these words, the consequences are horrendous. Even if they are close friends, it is often the case that the relationship ends when one person speaks with an angry expression and a furious voice.

If you are a foreigner who doesn't know the difference between using this word for good and for using it badly, please don't use it with your Korean friends in Korea. This word is like a double-edged sword.

The first image is a scene from the Korean movie 'The Uncle'. I've never heard a grown man actually say that to a little girl. The second Korean film depicts the friendship of Korean high school friends.
