Monument to the Incheon Landing Operation
On June 25, 1950, North Korea invaded South Korea. South Korea could not stop the NK army firepower and retreated. My country was in danger of being incorporated into the communist camp by the NK.
The South Korea army was pushed to the Nakdong River basin in the Daegu area, the last line of defense.
At that time, General MacArthur Commander-in-chief of the UN forces, conducted an amphibious operation in Incheon to block the NK supply route, and it was successful and turned the tide of the battle.
To commemorate its history, this monument was erected here in Central Park Incheon
Enjoy freedom and peace here and plan your future. Korea is a liberal democracy.
