Korean idol singers appearing in movies

 Idol singers often debut in movies and dramas in Korea. Today, let's find out what movies and dramas Korean idol singer have appeared in. Some movies maybe on Netflix, or they may not. If there are any movies I haven't found, please leave a comment let me know. 

1. JENNIE - BLACKPINK

 Jennie, a member of the girl group BlackPink has been cast in the US HBO's new drama series 'The Idol', her agency YG Entertainment reported. She also appears in BlackPink's documentary 'Light up the sky'. I expect that she will appear in other Korean films after the drama. Some filmmakers in Korea will pass on the movie screenplay to the other member of Black Pink. The drama is about the American music industry. Best of luck to her in the future.

2. LIM YOONA - Girl's Generation

She made her debut in the movie 'Confidential Assignment' which was released in 2016. She played the sister-in-law of Yoo Hae-jin(played by Kim Jin-tae), who plays the role of a South Korean police officer. And she played an office worker in her next movie 'Exit'. She escape from a gas-filled city with the male lead, Jo Jung-suk. In the movie Miracle, she played a high school student who speak the Geyongsang dialect, and she wants a train station to be built in the town. I hope you see her cute and charming in her movies.

3. Seung Hyun (T.O.P) - Big Bang

 He was cast as a killer in the drama 'Iris' in 2007. His character in the drama was so cool that he became popular with many people. At that time, men with charismatic eyes were popular in Korea. He was at the center of the trend. Then, in 2013, he played the role of a student from North Korea in the movie 'Commitment'. After that, he played a gambler in the movie 'Tazza2, which played the role of his first main character. 

4. Lee Seung-Gi

 He made his debut in the drama 'Nonstop5' in 2004 and received a huge spotlight by appearing in '1 Night 2 Days', the most popular entertainment program in Korea. There was no one who didn't know him. His honest and smart-looking character popularity and worth increased. He has played attractive and popular male roles in several dramas. He made his debut in the movie 'Love forecast', and his last movie is 'The princess and the matchmaker'. The proportion of his appearances in drama and entertainment programs is higher than that of his movie. 

5. Yoon Kye-Sang - GOD 

 He is one of the few Korean idols who are recognized for their acting skills, He has appeared in about 20 movies, He has the most career among idol singers. His representative films are 'The beastie boys', 'Minority Opinion' and 'The Outlaws'. in the movie Beastie Boys, he played a male waitress serving female guests in a host bar. And in the 2017 movie 'The Outlaws', he played a loan shark who came to Korea from Yanbian, China, and the film was a huge success. 

6. Ahn So-Hee - Wonder girls

 She has also started acting through dramas. She made her debut with the hit movie 'Train to Busan' in 2016, and then acted with Lee Byung-hun in the movie 'A Single Rider' She has acted more times in dramas than in movies. Her shy expression and girlish look are her charms. 

7. Im Si-wan - Children of the Empire

 He is one of those people who went from being a singer to a successful movie star. in the movie '변호인', he played a student who is being tried for violating the National Security Act. and '불한당 ; 나쁜놈들의 세상', he played a police officer who was secretly imprisoned in a prison. And he also appeared in the film '비상선언', which was invited to the non-competitive section of the 74th Cannes Film Festival. 

8. Lee Hyeri - Girl's Day

 Her acting career in drama is much more than that of film. She made her debut as a SBS drama in 2012, and she acted in the TVN popular drama 'Reply 1988' in 2015. in 2018, she acted in the movie 'Monstrum', and in 2019, in the movie 'My punch-drunk boxer' but unfortunately she did not succeed in both film. 

9. I.U

 I.U is more suited to being a singer than an actress. Although she doesn't have much of an acting career, art filmmakers prefer her character. She played in the film 'The broker', which was released in 2022, and the film received attention at the Cannes Film Festival. Her expression and smile are unique.

10. Taecyeon - 2PM

 He appeared in a lot of variety show and appeared as a cameo in a lot of dramas. He has acted in the movies '결혼전야', '시간위의집' and the 2022 hit movie 'Hansan: Rising Dragon'.
