Similarities between Korean politicians and celebrities

 Korean celebrities and politicians have many similarities. Politicians succeeded in creating a 'character politics' trend and spreading it to the public. 

There were a lot of catchphrases such as 'I am 000', Like celebrities, they appeared on various TV channels and built awareness and popularity. 

Previous generations of people tend to trust people who appear on state TV channels or on popular entertainment shows. For example, if someone appears on a famous channels or program, it is assumed that 'He must be an honest and competent person'. And the someone says, "I like him", "If this guy becomes a politician, I will vote for him."  

The side effect is that politicians did not aim to become a politician who can be verified by the public by using their efforts and skills to create a good society. They just appeared on TV shows and became politicians. 

This method was also used by next generation of politicians, and more and more people voted for it. The public did not analyze the achievements and actions of politicians appearing in the candidacy. They just voted for people who appeared a lot in advertisements or in the media. 

It's like a celebrity who appears frequently on TV shows or in the media is considered the best star by fans. 

This is the reality of Korean politics. South Korea's political parties do not attract people with political skills, but focus on bringing together famous and well-known people and putting at the forefront. 

This same is happening in the entertainment industry and the media industry. Broadcasting station often feature once famous people on TV rather than talented people on TV. For example, sports players who were active in the past, forgotten trot singers, etc. Anyone who enjoys watching Korean TV programs know this. Broadcasting companies no longer hire producers and new talent, they feature famous people from Youtube and other media. 

I am concerned about Korean politics and entertainment. Rather than trying to discover new talent, they simply recycle old obsoleted people who have exposed to a lot of famous and popular media.
