Outside view of Mullae Pig Bulbaek franchise restaurant in Uijeongbu

Have you ever seen the phrase '기사님 환영' on the signboard of a Korean restaurant? This means 'Welcome driver'. It means welcoming taxi drivers or anyone who does the driving job. These restaurants are often located on the main roadside or on the outskirts of the rather than the alleys of restaurants. In most cases, there are roads in the vicinity that do not enforce illegal parking enforcement. So many drivers will temporarily park their cars arounds the restaurant and enjoy a meal comfortably, right? So let's get in.

Mullae Pork Bulbaek and side dishes

I ordered the pork bulbaek 9000 won, and the side dish provided was ;

  • bottom left ☞ 공기밥(gonggi bap) A bowl of rice, 마늘(maneul) garlic, 된장국(doenjang-gug) Soybean soup, 상추/쌈장(sangchu/ssamjang) lettuce/Ssamjang

It tasted similar to the pork bulbaek I eat at other restaurants. It's just an ordinary one-dish restaurant. Pork bulbaek is always good to eat.

A special painting at Mullae Pig Bulbaek Restaurant in Uijeongbu

There is an oriental painting on the wall in this restaurant. I asked the chef about this drawing. She said that the ancestors of the Joseon Dynasty decorated the furniture with painting of these patterns. Castles and village of the Joseon Dynasty are depicted.
