Why are propaganda film made in Korea?

what-is-the-propaganda

Korean rookie actors hope to appear in short films or art films to gain acting experience. In Korea, art films and commercial films are divided into markets. If the commercial film market is major, the art film market is minor. Most of the short films of less than 30 minutes are mainstream, and production companies that have not received investment or support from investors or movie distributors enter the art film industry.

I worked as a manager to help rookie actors move on to commercial film after they entered the independent film industry. The process was not easy. First of all, since the movie was produced in private, it was difficult for me as an outsider to approach me to do business, and even when I participated in the pre-production process, it was difficult for a rookie actor without practical experience to have an audition.

Luckily, an actress from my company played the lead role in a short film, but the film didn't get the attention of the judges at independent film festivals, so she was also denied the opportunity to promote herself.

I found a unique feature in the independent film industry, that it was made up of groups of people who were united by school and ideology. Commonalities were also found between the government officials who supported the production of independent film and the histories of the film directors and the actors.

The problem is that these people are gathering and carrying out ideological propaganda activities in the name of art.

They were forming an ideological cartel. This kind of activity only stands out in the independent film industry. Among the films that have been released in independent movie theaters in recent years, documentaries that reveal the intention to distort the liberal democracy have been released in commercial movie theaters. Propaganda filmmakers in Korea carry the word 'art film' on their shields.

Most independent filmmakers and directors in Korea have a political ideology. They cook film that are pleasing to politicians rather than making films that consumers want, they cook films that are pleasing to politicians.

For example, of the ruling party evokes anti-Japanese or pro-Chinese sentiment, they make and provide a movie or pro-Chinese drama that matches the anti-Japanese sentiment. And the government encourages the media the carry out a large-scale promotion.

When the Democratic Party takes power in Korea, it is no coincidence that movies, dramas, and YouTube media that arouse anti-Japanese sentiment and propagate pro-Chinese prosperous. K-dramas and K-movie made with the political funds of the Chinese Communist Party continue to be made. If you are interested in Korean culture, you will be aware of these side effects.

Actors who appear in such films or TV shows are often unaware of the fact that they are being used ad tools. The government should establish an external monitoring group to monitor political forces and pro-communist forces to prevent collusion and to prevent them from engaging on propaganda media production.

the reason propaganda movies and dramas are made in Korea is because there are political forces that promote pro-China, pro-North Korean, anti-Japanese and anti-American sentiments.
