Popular traffic information Apps in Korea

If you plan to live in Korea for a long time, I highly recommend using this traffic information app.

1. 티맵 대중교통 정보 (T-map Public Transportation Information)

If you enter the departure and arrival points, the location of the bus stop where you should board, the bus number, and transfer information are all displayed in detail on the map. It is the most popular app along with the Kakao Bus app. If you are a foreigner who often takes the bus, it is recommended to use it.

2. 카카오맵 (Kakao Map)

You can check your current location and if you touch the bus stop icon, you can check the bus number and operating time. It is also possible to directly connect to the navigation by changing the upper tab.

3. Kakao T

You can check the estimated fare by entering the departure and arrival points, and you can decide whether to call a taxi or not. If you connect a credit card, the fare is automatically paid at the end of the trip. Based on GPS location tracking, you can make a call from where you are currently standing, and your location will be displayed on the map. As soon as I make a call, a notification is sent from the taxi waiting for dispatch information closest to my location. If the taxi driver accepts, you can check which route the taxi driver will take to come to you, and you can check the number of the taxi car that accepted my call.

4. 지하철 종결자 (Smarter Subway)

You can check the subway operating times and routes of all cities in Korea that operate subways. If you have purchased a T-money card, I recommend using this app. If you are curious about how to purchase a T-money card, check out my previous article.

5. 코레일톡 (Korailtalk)

You can check the operating times of all passenger trains running on the railroad tracks in Korea and reserve tickets in advance. (Except for SRT high-speed trains)
